Horrifying double murder in Delhi

NEW DELHI: A 35-year-old woman and her six-year-old daughter were brutally murdered and their bodies stuffed into a bed box at their residence in southeast Delhi’s Sarita Vihar. Police have identified a neighbour as the prime suspect and are investigating whether he acted in rage after the woman reportedly rejected his advances.

Police said a PCR call was received around 10.30pm on Friday reporting the discovery of two bodies at a residence in Aali Vihar. A police team from the local station went to the house and found the bodies concealed in a bed storage box. The bodies were taken to AIIMS.

Delhi Double Murder, Terror Alert, Stabbing & More“While initial medical examinations showed no obvious external wounds, the postmortem conducted on Saturday indicated the cause of death as strangulation and smothering. The final postmortem report is still awaited,” a senior officer said.The woman’s husband, who works at a printing press in Okhla, said he returned home to find the apartment door locked from the inside.
